Summary of 47. About Bodhisattva Path(보살도, 菩薩道, Bo-sal-do)
1. Primary Purpose
Anuttara-samyaksambodhi(아뇩다라삼먁삼보리, 阿耨多羅三藐三菩提)
Liberal translation(의역, 意譯) : Accomplishment of perfect enlightenment that bul(불, 佛, a buddha) is in accord with beop(법, 法, dharma)

3. Primary Practice (구족행, 具足行, Gu-jok-haeng)
[Noble Eightfold Path(팔정도, 八正道, āryāṣṭāṅgamārga)]
Right view(정견, 正見)
Right thought(정사유, 正思惟)
Right speech(정어, 正語)
Right action(정업, 正業)
Right life(정명, 正命)
Right effort(정정진, 正精進)
Right wish(정념, 正念)
Right seon-jeong(선정, 禪定)(정정, 正定) : Right seon-jeong means right practice of Vipassanā and Samatha. The seon(선, 禪) in bodhisattva way is not Zen but Vipassanā while jeong(정, 定) means samatha.
4. Practice of Fufilment(실천행, 實踐行, Sil-cheon-haeng)
[Six Paramitas(육바라밀행, 六波羅蜜行)]
Dāna pāramitā(보시바라밀, 布施波羅蜜)
Śīla pāramitā(지계바라밀, 持戒波羅蜜)
Kṣānti pāramitā(인욕바라밀, 忍辱波羅蜜)
Vīrya pāramitā(정진바라밀, 精進波羅蜜) : It indicates a practice that someone makes steadily and persistent efforts in order to brighten his or her own seong(성, 性)
Dhyāna pāramitā(선정바라밀, 禪定波羅蜜) : It indicates a practice of both Vipassanā and Samatha. The practice is a right repentance pray.
Prajñā pāramitā(반야바라밀, 般若波羅蜜)
5. Requirement for entry of Bodhisattva Path(보살도, 菩薩道, Bo-sal-do)
Master of abdomial respiration.
6. Practice
Subject : It is limited to a person who pass the minimum requirement for entry of bodhisattva way.
Li-ip(리입, 理入) : | This is a way to accumulate wisdom in 24 protons and 6 electrons in the seong(성, 性) with 30 gungs(궁, 宮, palaces). After recitating a limited amount of contents in one of the books such as Cheon-bu-gyeong(천부경, 天符經) with 81 characters, Sam-il-sin-go(삼일신고, 三一神誥), Upanishads, Sam-il-sin-go, Rig Vedas, [Hangeul-gyeong(한글경)] Jeong-bon(정본, 正本, Original Version) Ban-ya-ba-ra-mil-da-sim-gyeong(반야바라밀다심경, 般若波羅蜜多心經, Prajñā-pāramitā-hṛdaya), Interpretation of Innumerable Meanings Sutra(무량의경, 無量義經), etc, you recall the contents that you recitate with closing your eyes, which is called as meditation. And then you start to practice samatha quietly when you do not have any recalling. |

※ Sa-haeng(사행, 四行, Four actions) : | Sa-haeng means two internal actions including bo-won-haeng(보원행, 報怨行) and su-yeon-haeng(수연행, 隨緣行) and and two external actions such as (무소구행, 無所求行) and (칭법행, 稱法行). Two interal actions occur when truth as li(리, 理) is read into one's own seong(성, 性) with 30 gungs(궁, 宮, palaces). The bo-won-haeng(보원행, 報怨行) is called when the feeling or mind to blame. One's own karma causes the feeling or mind to blame so the feeling or mind can be solved by repentance prayer. And then various old memories may be recalled, which is called as su-yeon-haeng(수연행, 隨緣行). Various old memories have to leave to be passed without catching them. Two external actions such as mu-so-gu-haeng(무소구행, 無所求行) and ching-beop-haeng(칭법행, 稱法行) have to be followed along with other practices. The mu-so-gu-haeng(무소구행, 無所求行) is an action related to obsession and means actions without obsession and actions not to be seeked. The ching-beop-haeng(칭법행, 稱法行) means the practice of six paramita(육바라밀행, 六波羅蜜行). |
7. Border of Bodhisattva's mind(보살심, 菩薩心, bo-sal-sim)
Sang-gu-bo-ri(상구보리, 上求菩提) Ha-hwa-jung-saeng(하화중생, 下化衆生)
Bodhisattvas seek bodhi(wisdom) to the upper while lead all the creature to the right way to the lower.
